![]() ![]() ![]() The Long Thanh airport will be executed in three phases, covering 5,000 hectares and requiring over VND300 trillion, or US$16 billion, in investment. The second subproject will be put into operation in 2025 when the first phase of the Long Thanh International Airport project is completed. Other flight control facilities are a radar station, a transceiver station and automatic surveillance systems, a weather radar station, directional radio beacon systems, warning systems, information systems and medium voltage power distribution and control systems. The tower and supporting facilities will span an area of 24,000 square meters. The 123-meter-tall air traffic control tower will be developed in the shape of a bamboo shoot. The subproject will cover 70,000 square meters and cost VND3.5 trillion, mobilized by VATM, which was appointed as the investor by the prime minister. ![]() The tower is part of the second subproject for flight control facilities of the first phase of the multi-billion-dollar international airport of the country.
